Kentucky Avenue School is a small, vibrant, independent school located in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood. KAS serves diverse students from kindergarten through eighth grade. We offer small classes, a child-friendly environment, skilled teaching, and a challenging curriculum conveyed through both traditional and innovative methods. KAS is a Let's Move Champion School and has the only lunch program in the area that prepares and serves fresh and healthy lunches on site. Specialized after-school classes, such as Maker Club, Art Camp, and Film Club, are offered throughout the year.
