For more than 20 years our school community has been supporting bright, curious, fun, and creative students from Kindergarten through Grade 8.

The KAS Elementary School has become renowned for its ability to meet the needs of families where a more caring and creative approach to learning is required. Middle School Program
Our Middle School, A Safe Space for Growth and Exploration
For many, middle school is a very challenging experience, so in the Middle School at KAS we let students explore, and be themselves. Without the distractions of high school, bullying, and superficial expectations, we celebrate each individual student’s interests, aspirations, and self-awareness. Our middle school is the perfect place for 10- to14-year-olds to celebrate learning and personal exploration in a safe nurturing environment.
KAS middle school students work with teachers as partners and role models in their growth, and use their own interests to guide our reflexive curriculum. KAS middle school students graduate fully prepared, and are accepted into nearly every high school in Pittsburgh’s East End.
We have remarkable success helping students grow into young adults full of curiosity and a willingness to engage with the world around them. At the same time, we protect our children from societal pressures and allow them to grow at their own rate.
