Financial Aid
Financial aid is a grant, not a loan. It helps bridge the gap between what a family can afford and the full cost of tuition, and it never has to be paid back. We expect every family to contribute what they are able, and we encourage anyone who thinks they may need help to apply.
Applying for financial aid has no effect on admission decisions.

$6,945 average award
$150,000 available for the School year
Need is based on your family’s full financial picture, not income alone. FACTS considers factors such as household size, other children in school, student debt, and childcare or eldercare costs. Awards depend on available funds and follow established guidelines.
How to Apply
To apply for financial aid:
- Apply online through FACTS. Complete the financial aid application with your enrollment or re-enrollment documents.
- Upload your tax documents: Form 1040 with all schedules, plus W-2s and/or 1099s.
- Submit everything with your enrollment or re-enrollment documents. Incomplete applications are not processed until every document is in.
- Hear from us. In the weeks after Notification Day, the KAS Finance Committee reviews all requests and contacts each family individually.
After applying, an analysis will be sent directly to Kentucky Avenue School. Families must submit a new financial aid application each year. Aid is granted for a period of one year, based on current information. Any changes in a family’s situation may change the amount awarded from year to year. Financial Aid applications will not be processed, and funds will not be awarded until all documents are submitted.
